Bush’s Hypocrisy (Video)

Vodpod videos no longer available.

I hate to use the term hypocrisy because it sounds so judgmental and cynical but no term I can think of fits better in this case. In this clip, Bush says:

We are making it very clear to Turkey that we don’t think it is in their interest to send troops into Iraq.

I don’t understand the logic here. It’s alright for the U.S. to send troops in after being attacked by terrorists who, by the way, weren’t affiliated with Iraq though it was presented in such a way, but it’s not alright for Turkey? It can be argued that we went into Iraq for WMD’s, oil, or a myriad of other reasons, all of which probably played a part, but it still stands that the Bush Administration used terrorism as a main platform.
